Meet Shane

Born and raised from Texas. After he finished his master’s degree in General Psychology from Regent University, Shane moved to Florida. Shane has a lifelong passion for Tesla, which led him to work there. His Tesla knowledge, critical thinking and communication skills led him to being one of West Florida’s top Tesla advisor. During his free time, he goes to church, the gym, plays video games, and spends time with loved ones.

Meet Cons

Originally from the Philippines. She was raised Catholic and after finishing Nursing from college she tried reading the Bible. She had always prayed to Lord Jesus. Though she did not proceed to working as a nurse she worked being a freelance graphic designer. Currently she has an Etsy shop where she designs invitations and digital downloads. Cons loves designing, going to church, cooking, entrepreneurship, reading books, watching the Dave Ramsey show, painting and spending quality time with family.

On July 2022, Shane and I first met in a dating app called OkCupid and coincidentally we met the second time in the app Bumble. What first attracted me to Shane was when I read in his profile that he’s a Christian and into The Bible Project. We matched on both apps with 99% compatibility.

He added me on Facebook and we got to know each other we had many topics from politics, Jordan Peterson, Elon Musk, Dave Ramsey and Christianity. My first impression of Shane was that he is responsible from the way he carries himself, smart, and knowledgeable of the Bible.

We were video-calling and talking everyday. After a month, Shane decided to fly 9,200 miles to visit me in the Philippines.

On September 10, 2022, we first met at the Roxas City airport, we hugged and met for the first time. A day later he hold my hand and as we were walking together he told me if we were official boyfriend and girlfriend. And I said yes. Shane was a gentleman, handsome, Christian and kind. We played boardgames, attend Catholic mass, watch Star Wars Episode IV, did ballroom dancing, eat at restaurants, talk about many topics, swim together in the pool and he never lets go of my hand.

During his first visit, my family met with Shane and my parents warmly accepted him. We went out as a family to eat together in a restaurant and my parents were happy for me. Shane also introduced me to his parents via video call and they were happy for us that we met.

Shane would visit me every 6 months and send me flowers for every occasion. He video calls me everyday ever since we met and I admired his dedication. In return, I would also surprised him of my paintings and drawings. We also have a lot to talk about and intellectual topics from politics, economics, humor, christianity, Tesla and also about our families. We enjoy talking to each other everyday, playing Scrabble and it’s one of the key reason our relationship flourished.

Even though we are miles away from each other, I feel the deep bond we share.

In his second visit, we enjoyed going to Boracay with my family. We would travel and hold hands together in Boracay enjoying the beach and sunsets, fishing with my family, swimming, parasailing, couple pictorials, restaurant hopping, massage and spa, playing boardgames, Shane would play frisbee with my brother Penn. We also traveled to Manila to enjoy dating in restaurants and Shane has such a dance talent for dance dance revolution.

During his third visit, Shane planned a dinner night with my family in a nice restaurant. As I was talking to parents, I was surprised the security guard approached me to gave me a gift box. Shane was also beside me, as I opened it I found 20 beautiful red roses and a diamond ring! I was shocked, blushed and very emotional. Shane took the ring, knelt and asked me to marry him. I said “Yes!”

God answered my prayers for the right man.

Our love endures despite our distance from one another, and I will always be grateful that we are together. I know we will achieve all of our dreams together walking hand in hand.

I thank God for bringing us together.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and reception will be held both indoors at the Birchwood’s Grand Ballroom.
